My body used to break down a lot from being an international boxer for eight years. After competing in two Olympic games and four world championships I decided the time was right to turn pro.
I attended Paul’s clinic whilst I was training to make my pro debut on the Floyd Mayeather/Mcgregor undercard in August. I have always suffered from tight shoulders and back from the sport I do, so every week I would go and see Paul and he would help keep me right. I would highly recommend Paul as a physio, especially to athletes.
As Paul competes himself, it’s always good to be treated by someone who understands the vigorous training regime and stresses an athlete can place upon their body’s on a daily basis.
After years of hard work on my my muscles and joints and not really looking after myself in and out of fight camp I started getting regular injuries. I was preparing for the world championships at the time and I picked up a back injury, after going to see Paul he really did help me out, after a few sessions with him my body felt brand new!
With Paul competing in MMA himself he knows how bad it can be on your body and he has helped come up with some regular exercises that have massively helped me reduce the cause of injury.
I have been treated by well over 50 various physios throughout my athletic career and Paul is the best I’ve seen. His ability to quickly diagnosis and treat the source of pain is unparalleled. He is able to get right to the source of the issue where various other physios only treat the surface level symptoms.
As Paul has competed in combat sports himself he has a great knowledge and awareness of how to get you back to training as soon as possible, but also when to back off and rest if needs be.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Paul to anyone, including people who work ‘normal’ jobs. If he can get me healthy to compete in professional prize fighting then he can get anyone back to full health.
As a competitive Strongman my body is constantly being pushed beyond its limits, whether it’s carrying 300kg across your shoulders and moving as far and as fast as possible or deadlifting 3 times your bodyweight as many times as you can in a minute has a massive effect on the body!
Before I went to see Paul I was plagued with lower back issues which seriously impacted on my training in the gym! Unable to complete certain movements without excruciating pain. The first session he was able to pin point the exact cause of the issue and within 3 sessions I was pain free and given a list of corrective exercises to help from it happening again.
Now competing at worlds strongest man finals in America, I see Paul on a weekly basis to keep my body at 100% allowing my strength to grow week on week and put me in the best position for victory.
